Ignacio Serrano is an illustrator and comic artist based between Madrid and New York.
In 2015, he was awarded a Fulbright grant, leading him to the School of Visual Arts (SVA), where he earned an MFA in Illustration in 2017. That summer, he began working as a graphic designer and assistant for the legendary Milton Glaser, a position he held until Glaser’s passing in 2020. Following this, he joined the faculty of the SVA MFA Illustration program while maintaining his freelance practice.
In 2024, Ignacio returned to Madrid, where he currently teaches drawing at Nebrija University and UDIT. Additionally, he remains a faculty member at SVA in New York, where he returns each August to co-lead the Creative Summer Program in illustration.
His work has been recognized by American Illustration, Creative Quarterly, Latin-American Illustration, Communication Arts, and 3x3 Magazine, among others.
